Sentosa Lodge – We love this place. Nice pool, next to a comfortable living room/ dining room. More of a homestay than a hotel. You’ll meet surfers coming from and going to Mentawai. Various levels of rooms, with shared or private bathrooms.
OxVille Hotel – Great choice if sharing a room. Same price for for 2 people, 2 beds, as it is for 1. Breakfast buffet included.– Around $40.
Savali Hotel – Also a good choice with a pool. It is in the same price range. It is next door to a money changer and coffee shop. El’s coffee has nice food and great coffee.

The Axana Hotel – Huge roof top pool among the Minangkabau- style roof tops! Great choice for large groups, the chances are good this place will have enough rooms for you. Breakfast buffet is included.

Bat n Arrow– There is not a pool at Bat n Arrow, but there is a pool table! It’s a great place to hang out. Pizza oven and cold beer right on the river. The happening spot in Padang for traveling surfers and ex pats in the surf world.
Yani Homestay – Basic room with AC. Common area and shared bathroom. Expect to pay around $10/ person.
